Cooking Instructions:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (or 400°F for a quicker bake). Line a sheet pan with foil for easy cleanup.
In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground turkey, egg, breadcrumbs, oats, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, salt, pepper, onion, bell pepper, and Worcestershire sauce. Mix well using your hands or a large serving fork until all ingredients are fully incorporated.
Divide the mixture into four equal portions and shape each portion into a mini loaf. Place them on the prepared sheet pan.
Bake in the preheated oven for 20-35 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (the recommended temperature for safe consumption).
During the last 15 minutes of baking, prepare the glaze by mixing ketchup, brown sugar, chili sauce, and maple syrup in a small bowl. Brush the glaze over each mini loaf and return to the oven to finish baking.
Once the mini meatloaves are cooked, remove them from the oven and let them rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
For best results, ascertain that you don't overmix the meatloaf mixture, as this can lead to a denser texture.
Additionally, feel free to experiment with different vegetables, such as grated carrots or zucchini, to add extra moisture and nutrition.
The mini turkey meatloaves can also be frozen after baking for a quick meal option later on—just reheat and enjoy!
